The subject matter is strangely cool, and your photo is really nice...love the white eyelashes and the expression.

Is that a startled look? Beautiful eyes and a fitting way to end your month of macros! I have thoroughly enjoyed them. :-)

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen a horse with blue eyes! Neat photo.

Why does that pony look like it has 2 pupils?

I don't know why it looks that way, Ianqui. I'll have to get a look at her other eye next time to see if it is the same way!

Oh what a cool photo! The blue of the eye is startling. You had quite the macro month. I really enjoyed it.

I had an appaloosa with blue eyes. It happens somtimes when the whie blaze goes over the eye area. You sometimes see horses with just one blue eye, the eye where white hair surrounds it. My mare's name was Ossa, which was Native American for "bright eyes." Actually, we called her Bright Eyes.

The "two-pupils" could be an optical illusion. Horses have horizonal, oval pupils, not round.

Great picture. (But then, it's a horse).

Cool...one of our neighbor's has a dog that's got one blue eye. It's really a strange feeling to look at her fully in the face. All of her colors are messed up--she's supposed to be black, brown and a little white, but she's mostly white with a little black, and no brown and very, very strange eyes.

Ianqui -- I looked at her eyes when I was out at the barn last night. Her pupils are oval, and I think it just looks like that when constricted and perhaps the camera/light enhanced the effect.

Last night whe was indoors, her pupils were more dialated and looked perfectly oval.
