Last Day of School...

...for me in my drawing class at my local community college. The class actually ends next week, with a final review. But I had my review today, since I am starting another art class, color pencil drawing, next week at a community art center.

That's pure ice...and the sun is doing its best to melt it.

Trees Through Windows

On my lunch break from art class, I walked around the building and was struck by the combinations of windows and trees.

My Art Box gets a makeover :-0.

Part of today's lesson was on proportion. We used a small black and white photo and small grid to draw the same picture on a larger grid. Then we traded pictures and went from large to small.

This is the buliding where I will be spending my next 15 Saturdays (except for Spring Break). I had my first class today -- ART 101 Intro to Drawing. It was a blast. The instructor was engaging and funny. I was sad that class ended early, but I did use it as an opportunity to go buy all my art supplies :-).
